Chattipathiri (Layered pan cake)


  • Ripe banana 2 nos
  • Egg 5 nos
  • Sugar 5 tablespoon
  • Risins 3 tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts 3 tablespoon
  • White cuscus 2 tablespoon
  • Ghee 4 tablespoon
  • Cardamom 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk 1 tablespoon
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Water 1 cup
  • Maida 1 cup or (rice flour)


Heat pan with ghee and saute cashew nuts, risins, Then fry chopped coconut flakes and add sugar, 2 eggs stir continuously it become golden fry.

Dry roast cuscus for 1 minute on low flame and add to the mixture. Now filling is ready.

Dry chopped banana in ghee and also add to fill mixture

Add water, maida, salt, 1 teaspoon ghee to make dough

Divide dough into 7 piece, then make ball and roll out into circle (like chapati making)

Heat tawa and cook 1 side of chapati for 2 seconds

Beat 2 eggs with 1 teaspoon sugarar, 1 teaspoon milk and cardamom powder.

Grease the non stick pan with ghee

Dip one side of the pathiri (chapati) in egg mixture an place in the pan on very low flame

Spread coconut banana mixture on top of pathiri

Then take another pathi, dip in egg solution and put above of the pathiri in pan which cover fillings. Then add fillings on the top of second pathiri

Repeat the same for 6 pathiri

Pour remaining batter on top and garnish with cashew and risins

Cook in low flame about 20 minutes.

Now Chattippathiri is ready for serving
